FAQ
1. Why is a new fraternity house being built?
Phi Chapter has not had a chapter house since the original property at 407 W. Colorado was lost
decades ago. In recent years, we've struggled to attract and retain members in Southeastern’s Greek
housing due to the lack of a permanent, dedicated space. The new house will re-establish our presence
and give future generations of brothers a true home.
2. Where will the new house be located?
The new house will be located at 1504 North Oak Street, directly across from Southeastern Louisiana University’s campus. This prime location places us back at the heart of student life and fraternity activity.
3. What will the new house include?
The new facility will include residential rooms, study areas, a large common room, kitchen, meeting spaces, and display areas for our chapter’s rich history. It will serve as both a home for active brothers and a gathering place for alumni and guests.
4. What is the fundraising goal?
Our immediate goal is to raise $350,000 by the end of 2025 to cover the down payment to secure
financing for construction. Beyond that, we aim to raise an additional $500,000 to fund the entire
construction costs, furnishings, and necessary pre-opening expenses.
